Managed the JMU telephone directory sales team. Completed two weeks of sales training in Chapel Hill, NC. Sold yellow page advertising to businesses in the Harrisonburg area. Supervised three other salespeople at JMU. Team sales were the highest ever at JMU.

Testing Technician
Was originally hired as a warehouse worker, but was promoted into the testing department. Responsible for testing electronics products that had been returned by customers. Updated the company database with deductions and changes in inventory.

Server, etc. 
Originally hired as a dishwasher. Was promoted three times: first to Busser, then Pizza Cook, and?as soon as I turned 18?to Server. 
 
Summer 1993 Triple C Camp (Day Camp) ? Charlottesville, VA 
Camp Counselor
As a camp counselor, was responsible for a group of ten 9-12 year old campers. Worked 40 hours a week for one dollar per hour.

Curb Number Painting Service 
At age 12, started a personal business painting house address numbers on the curbs of my neighborhood, and later, those of a large new development across town. Went door to door in my area selling the service. Contacted the housing association in the new neighborhood and arranged for a distribution of my flyers to its residents. Received orders by phone, painted the curbs and created sales invoices and receipts. (This was perhaps my most exciting employment experience to date.)
